Greek neonazi MEP jailed after extradition from Brussels
European Parliament member Ioannis Lagos leaves a police van upon his arrival at the Greek Police headquarters, in Athens, Saturday, May 15, 2021

GREEK neonazi Ioannis Lagos was jailed in the high-security Domokos prison today — a month after his immunity from prosecution as a member of the European Parliament was lifted.

He started his 13-year jail term following his extradition from Belgium, where he had spent two weeks in prison after being detained under a European arrest warrant.

The former nightclub bouncer and ex-leading member of the fascist Golden Dawn party arrived in Athens at around 3.20pm on Saturday, accompanied by five Greek police officials.
