WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: It’s a repeat of last year’s final when Manchester City host Chelsea in tonight’s League Cup semi-final at their Academy Stadium.

Holders Chelsea, who beat City 2-1 to pick up the trophy, are currently six points behind table-topping City in the Super League.

Tomorrow evening’s other last four clash sees seven-time champions Arsenal up against Manchester United in Borehamwood. United have not previously reached the final.

MEN’S CRICKET: Unbeaten England face Scotland in their final group B match at the under-19s World Cup in Harare tomorrow.

The English have enjoyed wins over Pakistan and tournament co-hosts Zimbabwe while Scotland suffered a six-wicket defeat against Pakistan on Monday after their game with Zimbabwe was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Ireland lost to Sri Lanka by 106 runs in Monday’s Group C game.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Sean McDermott became the eighth NFL head coach to lose their job this year after he was sacked by the Buffalo Bills following their 33-30 overtime loss to Denver in the weekend’s Divisional semi-finals.

McDermott has led Buffalo to the end of season play-offs in eight of the nine seasons he has been with them, took the AFC East title for five consecutive years and won 65 per cent of all matches.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: French international Delphine Cascarino, who won the Champions League six times during her time at Lyon, has signed for London City Lionesses from the San Diego Wave on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The 28-year-old has earned 86 caps for France and played at 2024’s Paris Olympics and last year’s Euros.

She is no relation to former Marseille, Nancy and Irish striker Tony Cascarino.
