at Twickenham

A MATCH of two distinct halves was finally won by a misfiring England holding on for victory after a Welsh revival threatened yet another upset at Twickenham.

Both coaches took positives from a game that only flared into life in the second half, as the imposing obstacles of France and Ireland hove into view in the next round.

England head coach Eddie Jones was typically upbeat, claiming that his young side showed resilience and composure to close out a tense game.
