Italian clubs plead with fans to help kick racism out of Serie A
ITALIAN clubs have penned an open letter to fans in an attempt to eradicate racism from football.
Serie A has been marred by racist incidents for years, with a spike in incidents this year.
Brescia forward Mario Balotelli was subjected to monkey chants at the start of the month when playing away against Hellas Veronas — he walked off the pitch after kicking the ball into the stands but returned to finish the match.
