Russia launches wave of attacks across Ukraine in biggest assault since beginning of the war
A Ukrainian State Emergency Service firefighter smokes as he takes a break following Russian shelling that hit an industrial area in Kherson, Ukraine, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.

RUSSIA used bombs, missiles and drones in a wave of attacks across Ukraine today, causing power outages, restricting water supplies, forcing people to shelter in underground stations and flee their homes.

At least 17 missiles hit the south-eastern city of Zaporizhzhia this morning in the heaviest attack since the invasion began, local officials said.

More than 106 strikes were launched across the region in 24 hours, Ukraine’s military chief said.
