No Tyrants rally planned outside US embassy

PRO-DEMOCRACY campaigners are preparing to rally outside the US embassy in London this weekend for the second international instalment of the No Tyrants actions.

Organisers Indivisible London said the rally, supported by Stop Trump Coalition and Tesla Takedown UK, comes after five million people globally joined the No Kings demonstrations in June.

There are already 2,500+ demonstrations planned internationally for Saturday October 18, as US citizens and others protest against the authoritarian actions of the Trump regime, in what organisers say promises to be the largest day of protest in modern US history.

An Indivisible London spokesperson said: “The Trump regime is already attempting to paint these rallies as violent ‘Hate America’ protests, but nothing could be further from the truth.

“The No Kings and No Tyrants rallies are made up of people who love the United States of America and the values it is meant to stand for: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all who live there.

“This pro-democracy movement is fully committed to non-violence.

“It is the US government that is enacting violence against its own people in multiple ways, including illegal detainment and deportations, and by deploying the military into peaceful cities against the express wishes of city and state leadership.”

No Tyrants in London is a platform for US citizens living overseas and the international community to stand in solidarity with those in the US and show their opposition to US President Donald Trump’s “authoritarian power grab.”

Campaigners say it underscores the international pushback to his administration’s “flagrant disregard for the rule of law and international diplomacy.”

Protesters will gather outside the embassy on Saturday at 1pm.
