AT LEAST three more Palestinians were killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza on Saturday.
Around seven other Palestinians were wounded in areas that included Rafah and Khan Younis, southern Gaza and the Zeitoun neighbourhood, Gaza City.
It was the latest in multiple violations of the ceasefire that came into force on October 10 last year, which have killed over 400 people.
During one attack, an Israeli quadcopter reportedly killed a Palestinian man in Khan Younis, while the Wafa news agency reported two killings of men just east of Zeitoun.
Separately, the Israeli army itself reported the killing of three other Palestinians in southern and northern Gaza. It claimed the three all posed a threat, with one allegedly stealing military equipment.
The Israelis have also continued to block vital humanitarian aid from reaching Palestinians in Gaza.
A seven-day-old Palestinian baby, Mahmoud al-Aqraa, died in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza on Saturday, due to extreme cold, according to medical sources.
Palestinians are continuing to have to survive in makeshift tents that offer little protection from freezing temperatures, strong winds and rain, as most are only made of thin canvas and plastic sheets.
And despite the terms of the truce agreement reached last October, Israel has continued to block or limit humanitarian aid, such as tents, mobile homes or materials to fix tents, from entering Gaza.
In a statement, the Gaza Civil Defence warned of a “catastrophe” due to the “low pressure system that caused serious damage to temporary shelters and thousands of tents were completely damaged.”
Civil Defence spokesman Mahmoud Basal said: “What is happening is not a weather crisis, but a direct result of the Israelis preventing the entry of building materials and disrupting reconstruction, as people are living in torn tents and cracked houses without safety or dignity.”
