Israel guns down more Palestinians seeking aid and bombs homes and tents across Gaza Strip

ISRAEL gunned down at least 10 Palestinians outside an aid distribution centre in Rafah today, while more were killed by aircraft bombing tents sheltering refugees in Khan Younis and houses in Jabalia al-Balad and Deir al-Balah, with 21 reported deaths across the strip when the Morning Star went to press.

Its troops killed 18 people seeking food from aid shelters on Sunday, continuing a pattern of attacks on civilians trying to access aid through its new vetted aid centres, run by the US-based Gaza Humanitarian Foundation following its ban on the UN refugee agency UNRWA operating in territory it controls.

An enforced blockade of the strip forces Palestinians to rely on a handful of centres in the extreme south of Gaza, and hundreds have been shot dead while approaching these.

Over 55,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel’s invasion of Gaza in October 2023.
