ENGLAND have warned their rivals in a year when they are targeting Women’s Six Nations and World Cup glory that their aim is to make their attack unplayable.

The Red Roses are fielding a side close to full strength for their round-three encounter against improving Ireland in Cork having already amassed 17 tries during comprehensive victories over Italy and Wales.

Stronger tests await with France closing out the Six Nations at Twickenham Stadium on April 26 before the World Cup is held on these shores in August and September.

Assistant coach Lou Meadows hopes that by the time the tournament arrives, England will have taken their attack to a whole new level.

“To be able to play what is in front of you with a triple threat skill set across all 15 shirts of kick, run, pass would be amazing,” Meadows said.

“I’m sure you’ve seen [front rows] Amy Cokayne and Hannah Botterman occasionally want to stick the ball through off the boot and stuff like that….every forward does now as well. It’s about managing that.

“I’m not saying they can’t do that, it’s about making sure it’s the right decision to do that and that they have the skill set to execute to the level we need.

“That’s where I want to get to with this team so that ultimately defences and defence coaches don’t know how to stop us and are literally sat there going ‘I do not know what is coming’.

“That’s what would make us the best team in the world and should win us a World Cup final. At the moment teams are are slightly stressed by us, but I don’t think they’re stressed enough.”
