THE Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is set to blockade RAF Lakenheath on Saturday against the government covering up plans for US nuclear weapons deployment to Britain.

The blockade will take place from noon on the final day of the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace camp, which has had a continuous presence outside the US air force base in Suffolk since April 14.

CND general secretary Sophie Bolt urged Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to publicly state that US nuclear weapons will not be deployed to Britain.
