Biden re-election campaign increases financial lead over Trump, raising more than $90m last month

US PRESIDENT Joe Biden’s re-election campaign and the Democrat Party national committee said at the weekend that they had raised more than $90 million (£71.2m) in March and ended the year’s first quarter with more than $192m (£151.9m) in cash available, further increasing their financial lead over Donald Trump and the Republicans.
The Biden campaign and its affiliates reported collecting $187m (£147.9m) from January to March and said that 96 per cent of all donations were of less than $200 (£158).
That total was bolstered by the over $26m (£20.5m) that Mr Biden reported raising from a March 28 event at Radio City Music Hall in New York that featured former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
