Six trade unions to challenge government in court over botched pension reforms

SIX unions are taking the Tory government to court over botched pension reforms which saw billions of pounds taken from key workers.
The case — brought by Unite, GMB, Civil Service union PCS, the Fire Brigades Union, the Royal College of Nursing and the Prison Officers Association (POA) today — will be heard at the High Court until Friday.
It concerns 2015’s changes to public-sector pension schemes imposed by ex-PM David Cameron on nurses, teachers, civil servants, local government workers, firefighters and others.
