HMRC workers on strike Wednesday over office closures

WORKERS at HM Revenue and Customs are on strike tomorrow for the first time over planned office closures.

Members of Civil Service union PCS at International House in Ealing are staging the first of three walkouts over the government’s closure of the office, which is due to take place in 2020-21.

The union is opposed to the closures, which it warns will lead to avoidable job losses and create a poorer service for taxpayers.
