Activist arrested after attending Dundee’s Palestine Solidarity rally
DUNDEE trade unionists have reacted with anger after a veteran activist was arrested at his home at the weekend for taking part in a Palestine solidarity march.
Police Scotland officers arrived at the doorstep of Jim Barlow at 8am on Sunday morning to arrest him in connection with the protest he had attended the day before.
Alongside tens of thousands of other activists who took to the streets across Britain on Saturday, Mr Barlow had been part of a “static demonstration” in support of peace in the Middle East and justice for the people of Palestine at the City Square.
