Ed Miliband against rapist Ched Evans return
Evans signing for Oldham will be decided by their board
Labour leader Ed Miliband spoke out yesterday against the decision to allow Ched Evans back into football and said that Oldham are right to reconsider signing the convicted rapist.
On Sunday, reports suggested that the League One outfit were on the verge of signing the former Sheffield United striker but by the end of the day an online petition against the move had over 20,000 signatures.
Speaking in Salford Miliband said: “I think it’s right that Oldham are thinking again. He’s a role model and he’s been convicted of a very serious crime.
