VENEZUELAN President Nicolas Maduro has declared that the December 6 elections are a “battle for the future.”

Speaking at a public rally on Monday, Mr Maduro said Sunday’s parliamentary elections would decide the future of the South American nation’s socialist revolution.

“This is a vital battle for the future of peace and for our children,” he stressed.
