Sheffield patron Webster will quit if Evans returns
Disgraced star has shown no remorse since release

Sheffield United patron Charlie Webster said yesterday that she will quit her role at the club if they re-sign convicted rapist Ched Evans.

Webster, who herself was sexually assaulted as a teenager, wants nothing to do with the League One side should they offer the striker a contract following his release from prison last Friday.

She said: “You will have young people cheering him on when he scores a goal. Not under my name, under my club or community.
