Ukip candidate accused of ‘incitement to prostitution’

Feminist activists made a police complaint against pornographer and Ukip council candidate John Langley yesterday after he advertised pay-to-perform “gang bangs” online.

Anti-sexist charity Object reported Mr Langley to Bristol police after the candidate allegedly broke the law by “inciting prostitution for gain.”

Mr Langley, known in the industry as “Johnny Rockard,” runs a porn actors’ agency.

He was “happy to confirm” that he had been working in porn for over 40 years when he was outed by the press on Thursday.

But Object chief executive Roz Hardie said: “We have become aware of the practices of ‘Johnny Rockard’ over recent months.

“He appears to be treading a thin line between making pornographic films and profiting from the unlawful sale of sexual services.”

The Bristol Stockwood ward candidate called for volunteers to help with portfolios for one of his “models” last year, by acting as extras in “gang bang engagements.”

The advert states that “participants’ involvement is on the basis that they are financially contributing towards the model’s expenses, the venue hire, refreshments and her fee, as well as the costs involved in shooting and filming her, and for which each participant is entitled to some images of.”

Object believes this appeal could be deemed unlawful under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, which criminalises anything which “intentionally causes or incites another person to become a prostitute.”

Ms Hardie said: “It would be for the police and CPS to judge whether our concerns were valid.”
