MEN’S FOOTBALL: Banks O’Dee will move top of the Highland League for their first time in their history with a win over Turriff United tonight. Brechin are at Keith and third-placed Buckie Thistle face bottom of the table Strathspey on Saturday.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Goals from Aitana Bonmati and Mariona Caldentay eased World Cup winners Spain to a 2-0 victory over France in the first ever Nations League final on Wednesday night in Seville. A new record crowd for their women’s team of over 32,000 saw the Spanish improve their record to 18 wins in their last 20 games. Germany beat the Netherlands 2-0 in the third place match to seal their qualification for this summer’s Olympics.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Super League action resumes tomorrow evening with newly crowned World Club Challenge champions Wigan taking on Huddersfield, unbeaten St Helens up against Leigh and Castleford looking for their first point of the season at Warrington. Saturday’s games see the Catalans at Leeds and Salford playing Hull Kingston Rovers. The bottom two clash on Sunday when London Broncos travel to Hull FC.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The new League of Ireland season is only two games old yet every team has already lost their one hundred per cent records. Four-time reigning champions Shamrock Rovers, who host bottom club Drogheda tomorrow evening, have just one point to their name with new-boys Waterford topping the table. They visit fellow promoted team Galway tonight while Derry face St Patrick’s, Sligo are up against Shelbourne and Bohemians play Dundalk.
