MEN’S FOOTBALL: Hearts needed Kenneth Vargas’ 86th-minute goal to edge out Championship side Greenock Morton 1-0 on Monday night and set up a Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Rangers.

Hearts lost 2-0 to Rangers in the 2022 final, were thrashed 5-0 by them in the Scottish Premiership just three weeks ago and lost a league Cup semi-final to the Gers in November. Aberdeen take on holders Celtic in the other semi.

TENNIS: 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu lost in straight sets (6-3, 7-5) to world number two Aryna Sabalenka in the third round of the Indian Wells tournament late on Monday night. Raducanu is currently ranked 250^th in the world.
