McLeish turns to youth for upcoming friendlies

HIBERNIAN midfielder Dylan McGeouch is among six new Scotland call-ups after Alex McLeish named the first squad of his second spell in charge today.

McLeish had previously confirmed Scott McTominay would be selected and the Manchester United midfielder is joined by Hearts goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin, Wolves left-back Barry Douglas, Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna and striker Oli McBurnie, who has scored five goals in seven matches since joining Barnsley on loan from Swansea.

Three more uncapped players are in the squad for friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary later this month — Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer, Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald and Rangers winger Jamie Murphy.
