WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Super League play-off semi-finals tip off tomorrow evening with a rerun of last year’s final between Sheffield Hatters and Oaklands Wolves. The Hatters picked up the silverware in 2025 and go into this last four clash as regular season champions, finishing four points ahead of fourth-placed Oaklands. Sheffield also won the Betty Codona Trophy back in February. Tomorrow’s semi-final pits Caledonia against the Essex Rebels.
DARTS: Luke Littler claimed his third successive Premier League round after beating Luke Humphries 6-5 in Thursday night’s final in Leeds. The teenager now leads the competition by five points from Jonny Clayton with both players assured of qualification for the finals. Gerwyn Price is third, 18 points behind Littler, with Humphries up to fourth. Josh Rock stays bottom of the table after losing 6-5 to Humphries in the first round.
HORSE RACING: Four times world’s best jockey Ryan Moore steered the Aidan O’Brien trained Constitution River and Jan Brueghel to a very short-priced double at Chester on Thursday afternoon. It extended the pair’s unbeaten run to eleven races since 2024 at the north west course where they have scooped three consecutive wins in the listed Dee Stakes and Group Three Ormonde Stakes. Constitution River is priced at 7/1 to win June’s Epsom Derby.
