Celtic fined almost £13,000 for supporter behaviour in Stuttgart clash
Stewards clear the pitch from items thrown on the pitch during the UEFA Europa League, knockout phase play offs, first leg match at Celtic Park, Glasgow, February 19, 2026

CELTIC have been fined almost £13,000 after a section of their supporters disrupted their Europa League match at home to Stuttgart last month.

The first leg of the knockout round play-off at Parkhead, which the Germans won 4-1, witnessed a false start as dozens of small orange and yellow balls were thrown on to the pitch in the opening seconds as Hoops fans continued their protests against the board and the banning of the Green Brigade ultras group.

Uefa’s list of disciplinary decisions taken by its control, ethics and disciplinary body was released today and showed that Celtic had been fined £12,970 for the “throwing of objects.”

Stuttgart were also fined £19,450 after their supporters were deemed to have “transmitted a message that is not fit for a sports event” during the second leg in Germany, which the Hoops won 1-0 on their way to a 4-2 aggregate defeat.
