PALESTINE ACTION occupied the roof of Permoid Industries in Co Durham today, just 48 hours after staging a raid on the premises.

They unfurled banners reading “Drop Elbit Now,”“Running Logistics for Genocide,” and created holes in the roof.

Permoid Industries has shipped more than 1,000 munitions containers to Israel, at least 920 of which went to a factory belonging to the nation’s biggest weapons-maker, Elbit Systems, an investigation by Declassified found.

The group said that a shipment of ammunition was due to be picked up from the factory, which had been shut down during the action.

It came after another action on Saturday, in which activists raided the building, smashed machinery and covered the premises in red paint.

A spokesperson for Palestine Action said: “Permoid have been making blood money supplying Israel’s biggest weapons firm, during the Gaza genocide.

“Now their dirty secret is out, we will target them like any other genocide-complicit company, something underlined by our return visit today.

“If they continue, we will do everything we can to put them out of business.”

Permoid Industries was contacted for comment.
