Tory defector Carswell challenged at PMQs

TORY defector Douglas Carswell faced the wrath of spurned former Conservative colleagues yesterday at Prime Ministers Questions, writes Luke James.

The reassuring grin of Ukip everyman Nigel Farage was replaced with massed ranks of scowling Tories as he took his seat on the opposition benches.

He also risked a dose of Dennis Skinner’s wrath by sitting on the bench usually reserved for left Labour MPs.
