Free schools failing on race, says report
Admissions barriers to black pupils and parents
Teachers claimed Tory free schools are fuelling “social segregation” yesterday after a report found black pupils and parents are being locked out.
A Race On The Agenda (Rota) report for the teachers’ union NASUWT found free schools are “not operating fair and inclusive admission policies.”
Researchers said the give-it-a-go school governors — including parents, businesses and faith groups — are not even aware of their legal obligations under the Equalities Act.
