Pensioners launch 'grey manifesto' with call for £60 a week rise in state payout
A little extra would bring millions of older people out of poverty, says the National Pensioners Convention

Pensioners will call tomorrow for a £60 rise in the weekly state pension as they launch a “grey manifesto” for the 2015 general election.

The manifesto for Britain’s 11 million pensioners will be launched at the annual National Pensioners Convention (NPC) pensioners’ parliament in Blackpool.

Boosting the state pension from £113 to £175 would see millions of older people lifted out of poverty, the NPC argues.
