Child maintenance fees for divorcees 'risk poverty'
NEW fees for divorced parents receiving child maintenance will risk plunging thousands of children below the poverty line, campaigners warned yesterday.
The government has told all separated parents who qualify for the child maintenance service that those not living with their child will receive a 20 per cent charge on payments, with the other losing 4 per cent.
There will also be a £20 set-up charge.
