Danny Alexander set to lose seat to the SNP

TREASURY axeman Danny Alexander could be the highest ranking Con-Dem casualty of the general election, results of a new poll suggested yesterday.

The Lib Dem Chief Secretary to the Treasury faces election night humiliation as his reward for helping Chancellor George Osborne deliver unprecedented cuts.

Mr Alexander is set to lose his Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey seat to the SNP by a stunning 29 points, according to a poll for millionaire Tory donor Michael Ashcroft.
