Britain ‘is tiptoeing towards 3rd era of nuclear standoffs’

BRITAIN is “tiptoeing towards a third era of nuclear confrontation in Europe,” warned SNP MP George Kerevan on Saturday.

Mr Kerevan told the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) at a meeting in Glasgow that the US’s decision to move its nuclear bombs to Romania following last July’s attempted coup in Turkey was “not about safety but rather a very serious threat to the Russians.”

The East Lothian MP also slammed the influence of Britain’s war lobby saying: “Every day at Westminster the military are there in force, backed up by all the major defence companies.”
