Poland tries to reduce smog by fiddling with energy market
ENVIRONMENTAL campaigners in Poland said today that a new “anti-smog” energy tariff was not enough to tackle the country’s awful air pollution.

The energy market regulator said it hoped people would instead adopt the new tariff, which is slightly cheaper than the two most popular plans, and switch to electricity heaters.
