Knee injury sees Webb released from Wales squad
SCRUM HALF Rhys Webb might have played his last game for Wales after being released from its Six Nations squad yesterday because of a knee injury.
The Welsh Rugby Union says the injury will “restrict Webb’s involvement in the campaign” and he has been replaced in the squad by uncapped Tomos Williams.
Webb has signed to play for French giant Toulon from next season. Since that move was announced, Wales has introduced a selection policy, to take effect next season, in which players taking up a new contract outside the country must have won 60 caps or more to be eligible to feature for the international team.
