Shelbourne currently lead the League of Ireland by two points from Derry with a game in hand. The other ties in the last eight see second-tier UCD take on Bohemians in a Dublin derby, Athlone Town up against Drogheda and Wexford hosting Treaty United in a First Division clash.
WOMEN’S CRICKET: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that this October’s Women’s Twenty20 World Cup has been moved from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates after a number of the participating countries put restrictions on travel to the country. The ICC, which is officially registered on the British Virgin Islands to avoid paying corporation tax, moved its headquarters from London to Dubai in 2005.
SPEEDWAY: Belle Vue Aces need just one point to confirm their place in the play-offs when they visit out-of-form Ipswich for the second leg of their round two Premiership meeting tomorrow evening. The Aces hold a massive 58-26 lead from the first leg.
