No prosecution over undercover cop
A WOMAN who claims she was deceived into an intimate relationship with an undercover police officer lost a High Court challenge yesterday against the decision not to prosecute him.
The woman, known only as Monica, claims former detective Jim Boyling should be prosecuted for rape, procurement and misconduct in public office over an “intense” six-month relationship he had with her, using the name Jim Sutton.
As an officer in the Metropolitan Police's Special Demonstration Squad (SDS), Mr Boyling infiltrated environmental group Reclaim The Streets in the 1990s, when he is alleged to have had sexual relationships with three women.
