Scottish engineering workers vote 'overwhelmingly' for strike action

ENGINEERING workers in Scotland have voted unanimously to strike in protest against the closure of their factory, Unite confirmed today.
The union’s members at the Cummins works in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, voted by 100 per cent to withdraw their labour.
The dispute stems from a management announcement before Christmas that the factory would be closed, despite Holyrood offering financial aid to keep it open and the union offering help to diversify production.
