Tourists to Scotland ‘are bypassing C-19 hotel rules’
AN increasing number of passengers are bypassing hotel quarantine rules north of the border by flying from elsewhere in Britain, Scottish Labour has warned.
The party received data on the number of internal and international arrivals at Scottish airports since the start of the year, showing that 80 per cent of passengers arriving in Scotland did so via airports in England at the end of February, up from 27 per cent at the start of the year.
A system of mandatory hotel quarantine for all international arrivals in Scotland was announced in early February, while the Westminster government only requires this of those coming from countries on the “red list.”
