Erdogan critic begins hunger strike against extradition

TURKISH revolutionary Turgut Kaya started an indefinite hunger strike yesterday over the Greek government’s plans to extradite him to Ankara.

Mr Kaya said he had been left with no other option after an Athens court ruled that he should be sent back to Turkey, where he insists he will be tortured.

He slammed the Greek government for co-operating with the “fascist Turkish state” and demanded his immediate release from custody.
