TSSA backs any legal challenge to delay fire sale of HS2 land
Work begins to lift the front shield from the 2,000-tonne tunnel boring machine into the Victoria Road Crossover Box ancillary shaft at the HS2 site, near to Old Oak Common in west London, October 10, 2023

TRANSPORT union TSSA has welcomed any legal challenge to the quick sale of land acquired for phase two of HS2.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced at the Tory Party conference that he would axe the high-speed rail link from Birmingham to Manchester and sell off properties purchased on the route.

Experts have since warned the move could lead to hundreds of millions in additional costs and legal and technical challenges.
