Grenfell survivors hope to be a voice for those killed in disaster

SURVIVORS and the bereaved of the Grenfell Tower fire hope to be a voice for those who died as they come face to face tomorrow with representatives they hold responsible for the disaster.
Grenfell Testimony Week is being held in London under an agreement reached last year after a High Court case in which a judge approved a global settlement of compensation claims made by people affected by the 2017 tower-block blaze.
A legal hearing in May 2023 was told there had been a settlement of about 900 cases and a global sum of about £150 million compensation agreed.
