PAKISTAN: A motorcycle packed with explosives detonated in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar today morning, killing two people and severely injuring another, police said.

The explosion, in the Board Bazaar area of Peshawar, occurred prematurely, said senior superintendent of regional police operations Kashif Abbasi, without without revealing the intended target.

TURKEY: Turkish police detained 33 people suspected of ties to the Islamic State group, who were allegedly preparing attacks ahead of the country’s local elections on March 31, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said today.
