MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Table-topping Wakefield Trinity maintained their 100 per cent record in the Championship after coming from 12-6 down at half-time to brush aside Batley 34-12.

Relegated team from the Super League last year, Trinity have a six-point lead over Sheffield, who had comfortably seen off Halifax 28-0, with Toulouse and Bradford a further three points back following their 12-12 draw in France at the weekend.

WOMEN’S ATHLETICS: Two-time Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon continued to warm up for this year’s games by breaking her own 1500-metre world record on Sunday.
