Fraser joins scramble for Scottish Tory leadership

MURDO FRASER has become the sixth contender in the scramble to lead the Scottish Tories, telling members they had been “let down” by party bosses north and south of the border.

The mid-Scotland and Fife MSP first ran for the leadership within months of becoming an MSP in 2011, and now Mr Fraser has joined the fifth of the Tory Holyrood group in the race to replace ousted leader Douglas Ross.

Launching his bid on X, he said: “This party, our party, has let us all down.
