Iraq's Aymen Hussein celebrates with teammates after scoring against Palestine, during the Asian qualifier group B match for 2026 World Cup between Iraq and Palestine at the Basra International Stadium, in Basra, Iraq

MEN’S CYCLING: Il Lombardia, the final Monument race of the season, rolls out of Bergamo tomorrow morning with new World Champion Tadej Pogacar defending his title for the fourth consecutive year.

Also known as the “classic of falling leaves” it is usually won by a cyclist renowned for his ability in the mountains and this year’s 252-kilometre course, which finishes in Como, includes over 4,800 metres of climbing.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Aymen Hussein’s first-half strike was enough to seal Iraq’s 1-0 win over Palestine in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday and pushed the Palestinians to the bottom of group B.
