Campaigners in Wales welcome £3m for research health centre

CAMPAIGNERS in Wales hailed a funding decision at the weekend for a research centre into women’s health.

Health and Care Research Wales is putting £3 million into a dedicated centre due to open in April, aiming to provide vital evidence to improve healthcare for women in Wales.

National clinical lead for women’s health Dr Helen Munro said: “This is an encouraging step towards achieving a more equal healthcare system for women in Wales and represents a real investment in our future health.”
