WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Super League action returns this weekend with unbeaten table-toppers Oaklands Wolves hosting Leicester on Saturday evening.

The St Albans-based Wolves cruised to a 69-54 victory in November’s reverse fixture. Nottingham visit Cardiff Met for Saturday’s early tip off before Essex face Manchester and Newcastle meet Durham Palatinates in the north-east derby.

Second-placed Sheffield are in East Kilbride to face Caledonia on Sunday afternoon.

DARTS: World champion Luke Littler beat world number one Luke Humphries 6-5 in the final to take the second round of this year’s Premier League of Darts on Thursday night in Glasgow.

Littler beat Michael van Gerwen 6-2 in the semi-finals after Humphries had come from behind to see off Gerwyn Price 6-4 in his last four clash. Dublin hosts next week’s third leg of this 17 round tournament that culminates in May’s final in London.

MEN’S BOXING: Chorley-born Jack Catterall takes on unbeaten American Arnold Barboza in a final eliminator for the WBO super-lightweight title in Manchester on Saturday night.

Catterall beat former world champion Regis Prograis in October to claim the WBO international belt while Barboza holds the WBO’s inter-Continental title.

Reece Bellotti faces Michael Gomes Jr for the British and Commonwealth super-featherweight title on the undercard.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: It’s first against second in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon, as league leaders Falkirk are up against an Ayr team that thumped them 5-2 in mid-December.

Third-placed Livingston play Dunfermline, bottom of the table Airdrieonians are at form-team Greenock Morton, Raith Rovers meet Partick Thistle and Hamilton, who have lost their last four games, visit Hampden Park to face Scottish Cup giant-killers Queen’s Park.
