MEN’S FOOTBALL: Matthew Fitzpatrick’s first-half header sealed Linfield’s 1-0 win over bottom club Loughall and restored their 20-point lead in the northern Irish Premiership after second-placed Glentoran had won 2-1 at Coleraine.

Crusaders saw off Ballymena 3-1, Portadown beat defending champions Larne 2-0, Cliftonville slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Glenavon and Dungannon ended their recent poor run with a 3-1 win over Carrick.

MEN’S BOXING: Reece Bellotti retained his British and Commonwealth super-featherweight titles to improve his professional record to 20 wins with five losses after stopping Michael Gomes Jnr in the 10th round of Saturday night’s fight in Manchester.
