Defending champions The New Saints remain second following their 5-0 romp at Cardiff Met with Penybont, 2-1 winners over Llandudno, in third. 

Bottom club Trefelin, who have yet to score in their opening four matches, went down 2-0 at home to Caernarfon.

MEN’S BOXING: Billericay-born George Liddard stopped Italian Dario Morello in the eighth round to claim the vacant European middleweight title in London on Saturday night. 

Liddard improved his unbeaten record to 15-0. 

This morning in Las Vegas, Teofimo Lopez beat defending champion Rolly Romero to win the WBA welterweight belt by majority decision. 

Lopez is expected to next face Chorley’s Jack Catterall.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: New Zealand scored five tries to South Africa’s one try as they came from behind to win 33-16 at Ellis Park in Johannesburg in Saturday’s first leg of their four-match Test series. 

The result ended the Springboks 12-match winning run and moved the All Blacks back to the top of World Rugby’s rankings for the first time since September last year. 

The second test takes place in Cape Town next weekend.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: National Conference table-toppers West Hull extended their season-long winning run to 18 games after seeing off Heworth 42-4. 

Second-placed Hunslet thumped bottom club Rochdale 76-12 and Waterhead won 34-18 at Wath Brow to stay third. 

Reigning champions Siddal beat York Acorn 38-10, Lock Lane eased their relegation fears by beating Wigan St Judes 56-12 and Thatto Heath won 34-14 at West Bowling.
