Mayoral hopefuls invited to face a pre-election grilling

LONDON’S mayoral candidates will be grilled by renters in the run-up to the vote, housing campaigners announced yesterday.

The challenge was issued by campaigning groups Generation Rent, Renters’ Rights London and Priced Out, which invited five of the candidates to hustings on the housing crisis.

Green Party hopeful Sian Berry and Ukip’s runner Peter Whittle will attend on March 29.
