Hail, Caesar! (12A)
Directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen
3/5

THIS Coen brothers love letter to post-war Hollywood is a homage to the golden age of film but it isn’t as smart or as funny as it believes it is.

Set in the early 1950s, it brilliantly captures the ruthlessness and omnipotence of the studio system, where the bosses control every aspect of their stars’ professional and private lives.
