CHELSEA defender Millie Bright has withdrawn from the England squad for their upcoming Women’s Nations League matches against Portugal and Spain, it was reported today.

The FA announced the 31-year-old Euro 2022 winner pulled out to “undertake an extended period of recovery” following the Blues’ domestic treble triumph this season.

Arsenal’s Lotte Wubben-Moy has been called up as a replacement and will link up with the group along with four other members of the Gunners’ Champions League-winning squad at St George’s Park tomorrow.

Sarina Wiegman’s side face Portugal at Wembley on May 30 before travelling to Barcelona to play leaders Spain in the final game of the group phase on June 3.

England would qualify for the knockout stage with victories in both matches.
